Chris Mignano is a PhD student in chemical engineering in the Combustion & Catalysis Laboratory, where his interests include fuels development, aerospace systems, and sustainable energy technologies. His broader technical background spans mechanical engineering, design and testing, program management, entrepreneurship, and business development. Chris earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Cooper Union, where he also served as president of the Cooper Union chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. In addition to his doctoral studies, he is Vice President of Business Development & Manufacturing at iRocket, a Long Island–based startup developing propulsion systems for aerospace applications. Originally from Staten Island, Chris attended Regis High School.
