This collaboration mainly has focused on joint research efforts with students from the respective institutions.  Periodic visits by Professors Castaldi and Gupta to each other’s institutions have occurred and student exchange.  Both Castaldi and Gupta have jointly organized conference sessions for ASME, IT3, AIChE and have provided testimony related to the benefits of waste to energy.  The main research focus is on gasification and combustion of waste and biomass.  Some publications that have resulted are listed below.
