This collaboration began in 2009 focused on investigating fundamental reactions related to biomass thermal conversion processes. Over the years, there has been continual exchange of visiting students from Bolzano and periodic visits by Professor Castaldi. In 2017 & 2018 Professor Castaldi was there for one month each year as part of his Fullbright Global Scholar Award. CCL and Bolzano continue to collaborate, resulting in several publications and international conference participation. Below is a representative list of some of the joint publications.
