Janhvi Trivedi is a PhD candidate in the Combustion & Catalysis Laboratory, where her research focuses on waste-to-energy ash, metal recovery, and solid residue valorization. Her doctoral work examines how thermal processing conditions, reactive gases, and mineral additives influence metal transformations in municipal solid waste and waste-to-energy ash, with applications in material recovery, corrosion behavior, and sustainable waste management. Janhvi also spent three months as a visiting student at Stony Brook University and Brookhaven National Laboratory, where she used advanced materials characterization techniques to support her thesis research. Originally from Mumbai, India, Janhvi earned her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Mumbai.
